Simon Matthew

Simon-Matthew | Age 12
Simon-Matthew is a thoughtful, sensitive, and quietly courageous 12-year-old boy caught in the emotional aftermath of loss. Born under tragic circumstances that claimed his mother’s life, he’s grown up in a home weighed down by silence and unresolved grief. His relationship with his father is strained—distant and fractured—leaving Simon-Matthew to navigate childhood without the protection and comfort he longs for.

His older brother, Benjamin, was his anchor: a role model, protector, and the one person who made him feel safe. With Benjamin deployed on a Peacekeeping mission far from home, Simon-Matthew feels unmoored and isolated. But beneath his quiet exterior is a deep sense of empathy and determination. Inspired by Benjamin’s mission of peace, Simon-Matthew begins his own journey—not just to honor his brother, but to reconnect with the world, and perhaps, heal the wounds within his own family.
